Is Holden Phony himself?

I feel like Holden Caulfield is the biggest phony of everyone in The Catcher in the Rye, because throughout the entire book it is nothing but his inner thoughts about how other people act and things they say. He always finds little things that peaple do, say or act to make them seem "phony". He never really finds anything nice to say about anyone that offten he always looks at the bad side of everything. I feel like if Holden thinks that people are so phony then why doesnt he ever say anything to them about it? Insted of just keeping all of his thoughts in his head and letting them out. If holden can act normal around all of the so called phonies, then he should say something to them because other wise that its self makes Holden a phony if he is not himself. In the beggening of the catcher in the rye, Holden says "Im the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life". But then later in the book he talks about how much he hates liars. Holden contradict's a lot of what he says and thats why i think he is the biggest phony.
